This is our celebration of IONA's 31 years performing pan-Celtic music around the US with occasional forays overseas. For the past 10 years the line up has been stable with Barbara Ryan (vocals, bouzouki, bodhran), Bernard Argent (flute, whistles, bombarde, cabasa, doumbek and backup vocals), Chuck Lawhorn (bass and backup vocals), and Jim Queen (fiddle, banjo and backup vocals). What a wild and wonderful musical ride!
IONA® was perhaps the first pan-Celtic band to mix and match songs, tunes and dances from all the Celtic influences, and certainly the most long lived. In 10 tracks and almost an hour of music we present original arrangements of 24 traditional songs & dances from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Brittany, Asturias, Québec, Louisiana and Appalachia. As usual Barbara sings in 5 different languages. It's what we do. It's our signature sound!
